6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

We invite you to attend the upcoming PTSA meeting on Tuesday, October 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the McDougle Middle School art room, located at the front of the building. This is an excellent opportunity for you to stay informed about school initiatives, discuss ideas, and address any questions or concerns. Your input is valuable as we work together to support the academic and social development of our students. We hope to see many of you there, actively participating in the ongoing enhancement of our school environment.

But wait, there's myrrh! Err... more! We're on the hunt for student wizards and parent warlocks to help stir the pot! Need service hours? Want to be the coolest mummy or daddy in the crypt? Then come make this year's event a real scream! πŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ§™β€β™‚οΈ

Parent-Teacher Conferences

No school for students.

Tuesday, Nov. 7

Tuesday, November 7, will be an especially busy day in Chapel Hill & Carrboro City Schools. While students enjoy the day off, teachers will have a work day for parent-teacher conferences, elections will be held throughout the state, and most importantly, the PTSA will hold our annual CHILI COOK-OFF!Β 

Start researching those secret family recipes, running your test kitchen, and preparing those taste buds. We'll see you at the school with your crock-pots in tow. More info to come.

veterans day holiday

There will be no school in observance of Veterans Day. This is a day to honor and remember our military veterans for their service and sacrifice. It's a great opportunity to discuss the significance of this holiday with our children and acknowledge the contributions and sacrifices of military service members. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly.

Tuesday, November 21, kickstarts Thanksgiving celebrations with a 3-hour early release! Woo-hoo! πŸŽ‰ But that’s not all – there’s no school for all students on Wednesday, November 22, as our super teachers have a work day. πŸ“šΒ 

And then, let the feast begin! 🍽 The district will be closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24, to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday! πŸŒ½πŸ‚ We hope your days are filled with laughter, delicious food, and moments of gratitude. 🧑
